Its a great pride and glory to announce that BhavsarSamaj.com has completed its 10 years of knowledge sharing and collaboration among Bhavsars across the world.
Launched on February 14, 2004 with first user Shirish Garje (Linked-In Profile http://in.linkedin.com/in/shirishgarje) from Latur, the portal kicked off with a discussion Forum. Discussion forums in 2004 proved to be the first ever Web2.0 social network for Bhavsars (when other social networks such as Orkut and FaceBook were not popular especially in India). The idea spun through a Yahoo Group https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Bhavsar-Samaaj/info initiated by Yogesh Bhavsar (Linked-In profile http://in.linkedin.com/in/ybhavsar).
Later the online community increased with launch of Matrimony site Bhavsar Wedding (http://www.bhavsarwedding.com) and a Community Service Help Desk (http://help.bhavsarsamaj.com). The portal however remained funded and maintained by a single person till date away from interference of local politcs. It is also to be noted that BhavsarSamaj.com never accepts or asks for any DONATIONS from any one as it is just an online community. Any fake requests or resemblence of the portal for any financial needs to be reported immediately to us. This portal also is not endored or supported by any of the Mahasabhas or local community offices. Please read the disclaimer before pertaining to any assumptions.
If you still wish you could have been able to view the portal grow and change these many years, you can glance through the Time Machine http://web.archive.org/web/20050201000000*/http://www.bhavsarsamaj.com provided by the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. Through this machine you can actually browse the portal the way it appeared in past.
