Its a great pride and glory to announce that has completed its 10 years of knowledge sharing and collaboration among Bhavsars across the world.

The First Social Networks for Bhavsar

Launched on February 14, 2004 with first user Shirish Garje (Linked-In Profile from Latur, the portal kicked off with a discussion Forum. Discussion forums in 2004 proved to be the first ever Web2.0 social network for Bhavsars (when other social networks such as Orkut and FaceBook were not popular especially in India). The idea spun through a Yahoo Group initiated by Yogesh Bhavsar (Linked-In profile

Later the online community increased with launch of Matrimony site Bhavsar Wedding ( and a Community Service Help Desk ( The portal however remained funded and maintained by a single person till date away from interference of local politcs. It is also to be noted that never accepts or asks for any DONATIONS from any one as it is just an online community. Any fake requests or resemblence of the portal for any financial needs to be reported immediately to us. This portal also is not endored or supported by any of the Mahasabhas or local community offices. Please read the disclaimer before pertaining to any assumptions.

Some Early Birds & Supportors of the Portal

There were many online and offline people who helped the development of the portal in the past 2003 in terms of Information Sharing.  Some of them are:

  • Mr. Balaji Chinajirao Dhayfule : My Father, guide and prime supporter for the project, who led me to Mr. Sudhir Petkar from Mumbai's Samaj Office
  • Mrs. Smita Balaji Dhayfule: My Mother and guide for the project.
  • Mr. Sudhir Petkar: The office bearer of Mumbai Bhavsar Samaj in Mahajan-wadi, Parel. Who provided initial raw data about the community for building the portal's content.
  • Mr. Dinesh Malve: Mr. Dinesh provided the photographs and the primary information about the pilgrimage of Goddess Hingalaj in Pakistan.
  • Mr. Hanumant Upre: The owner of Gajaraj Pipes and prime person in Antar-rashtriya Bhavsar Mahasabha (ABM), was then president of Maharashtra Bhavsar Samaj, who also published monthly Magazinez for community named Bhavsar Jagruti.
  • (Late) Mr. Jaiprakash Gondkar: The then Chief Editor of Bhavsar Jagruti Magazine another magazine of Akhil Bhartiya Bhavsar Kshatriya Mahasabha (ABBK).
  • Mrs. Roopa Ambekar: Mrs. Roopa is from US and have been providing social guidance for the development of the portal.
  • Mr. Suneel Sakhare: Mr. Suneel from Ahmedabad Bhavsar Kshatriya Samaj has been closely coordinating to provide guidance for the portal.
  • Mr. Narharirao Bagre: Mr. Bagre is one of the senior most citizens from the community. He has been providing valuable guidance in terms of social strategy and development of the portal.
  • Mr. Sameer Khanore: Mr. Sameer from Pune provided valuable information about the community and its traditions.
  • Mr. Vijay Pukale: Mr. Vijay was then a Scientist at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) - Mumbai, now works as a Senior Professional in Information Technology Industry.
  • Mr. Pritam Bhavsar: Mr. Pritam is a Software Professional from Pune.

Likewise there were many early users of the portal who supported with a good will. The portal needs volunteers in terms of managing the Help Desk tickets and assigning them for proper execution.
